An eco friendly and artful home on Indian Pass Beach in Florida.
Many of the home's decorations are made by Zesty Nest.
A gorgeous oyster shell mirror made for one of the bedrooms with the help of the tutorial found at Completely Coastal.
Nautical Flag Pillows and Sea Creature Pillows made from drop cloth and images from Vintage Printable that were printed on iron-on transfer paper, then ironed onto the pillow covers.
A DIY seascape painting of the Apalachicola River hangs over the fireplace mantel. The fireplace (as well as the kitchen island surround) are made with mortar and shells gathered on Indian Pass.
And the owners sea life paintings are showcased throughout the home.
The original owners went to great lengths to maintain the integrity of the land - bringing in beams with cranes so they wouldn't have to cut down many trees. And all the cabinetry and wood supports including the living room mantel are made by Good Mill Work with local deadhead cypress.
Zesty Nest: To get the cypress trunks they dive into the Apalachicola River and pull up logs that fell into the river over 150 years ago when loggers where moving them down the river. It's almost pitch black down there, so the divers are specially trained to feel for the logs, and be very still if an alligator swims across!
