A Coastal Christmas Tour of a Victorian Cottage in St. Augustine, FL.
The Victorian cottage was included on a garden club tour. The ladies of the garden club had free reign to deck out the home.
They decided the decorations should nod to the home's nautical sensibility, and Florida coastal locale. The objective was to do things as frugally as possible while using live greenery, berries, and flowers, many of the elements gathered from their own yards and the yards of people they know. In the foyer is a lovely example of that. Local foliage such as palm and cedar along with starfish that can be found on the local beaches.
A peek of the downstairs bedroom. A coastal swag, palms in the corner, ferns and other greenery tucked into the nearby shelves. And the ladies of the club chose to use Sheila's lovely sea urchin teaset.
