This coastal home is infused with orange decor.
The color orange can remind of the late afternoon and early evening, bathing the beach in a warm glow.
Owner/designer Jim Gauthier wanted his home in New England say summer and he created the feel in the living room with a mix of Slip Covered Furniture, a Natural Fiber Rug and orange decor accents, including a giant Lobster sculpture.
The color orange looks great against the dark wall in this sophisticated dining room. The coastal vignette on the cabinet and wall is a lovely combination that includes a Driftwood Piece as Wall Art, made by nature.
Orange decor accents are spread around the kitchen. The wall color is a dark chocolate brown and gives the space a cozy feel. You can also see a collection of clocks. The hanging light pendants are fun, fish scale like.
A warmly layered hangout nook is nestled between the kitchen and dining room. A signal flag pillow is in the mix.
The enclosed porch is all about cottage-style comfort, with a swinging daybed hung from Rope, antique chairs and great Coastal Pillows.
Even the two Wicker Chairs on the front porch are dipped in the happy color.
And the wall anchor on the garden shed is adorned with orange rope. To see and learn more about this home, go to New England Home Mag.
