Country Living brings back a beach bungalow that was ravaged by Hurricane Sandy.
It's a wonderful breezy beach bungalow, located on Breezy Point in Queens, New York. The water damage from the storm had ruined pretty much everything -walls, floors, furniture. The home was down to the studs. So this is a beach bungalow makeover from scratch.
Chosen designer for the project, quirky and colorful Emily Henderson from HGTV.
Emily's goal was to create a really bright, airy, beachy, happy, and casual home, with some antiques to give it a soul. And it is all that and more! I love the dark wood flooring. It creates great contrast and grounds the place. And if you have exposed beams like that, why not hang some funky Rope lamps.
You can take the full tour of this 1,000-square-foot beach bungalow at Country Living.
