Creating the Beach Cottage Look with Shiplap Wall Paneling

This casual elegant coastal home captures the look of a Classic Beach Cottage with exposed studs and shiplap wall paneling.

Shiplap Wall Paneling to Create Beach Cottage Style
The home is decorated by Nantucket based interior designer Donna Elle in a Color Palette of white, soft blue, and gray. To give the living room a Timeworn Appearance, the studs and rafters were hand-rubbed with stain. The white painted shiplap wall paneling is used throughout the home. Statement pieces in the living room include a Coffee Table with a Driftwood base by Florida artist James Duncan, topped with extra-thick beveled glass that was custom crafted.

Beach Cottage Style Entryway with Driftwood Door and Wave Nailhead Trim Ottoman
The entryway features a unique Driftwood Door. And I'm loving the coastal Wave ottoman. You can apply a nailhead wave pattern trim to any simple Round Ottoman.

The outdoor space, an open unobstructed porch. You can read the full story of this beach cottage style home at Boston Magazine.
